The contractor IPS has removed the asphalt and the aggregate base material from the centerline of Gambrel Gate to the centerline of Forester. This has led to discovery of some damp/wet areas that will require additional treatment in order to allow for proper compaction. The City of La Verne Water Department is checking to see if any of the issues are part of the City water system and New Image is checking to see if any of the issues are from the irrigation system. The engineer has designed a correction that will be performed to see if the subgrade can be improved to provide adequate support for the new base
and new asphalt.
